Sew Long Summer
I’ll be honest, I’m not entirely sad to see summer go.
I enjoy the extended daylight hours – I always feel like I am able to get so much more done when there is daylight after work. But I don’t enjoy the high temps, fire danger and how my cats don’t seem to need me.
I’m ready to enjoy another snowy winter with cozy warm wood fires, my cats needing me for warmth and lots of French Terry! My winter fabric of choice!
Fortunately I was hoarding some from last winter and made this new 5oo4 Henley for my husband. This is a fun reverse french terry so it looks cool and distressed. I’m a fan of the look on him.
He’s a fan of long sleeves with cuffs and soft fabric, so having the brushed part inside is extra nice.
I also used brushed poly for the neck and cuffs to add to the softness.
I like to keep him stocked in cozy clothes…. and he keeps the driveway plowed LOL so it’s a fun trade off!

I love sewing for my husband but getting him to pose after can be a chore! Yours looks so comfy in his clothes. I’ll have to check out this henley pattern for mine. Maybe he’ll get one for a gift one day soon. 😀
It’s always great to see some menswear in a blog tour. This Henley shirt looks great with the plain fabric cuffs. I keep this pattern in my mind because I want to sew something similar for my husband,
Great modeling! Love the shirt!
