Sunflower Tank
Mamma Can Do It Sunflower Tank
The Sunflower Tank recently re-released in additional sizes! It now spans from 2T-40W! I made a few new ones for the occasion so I’ll add them here!
All three of my new makes are in double brushed polyester. The sunflower tank, I think, looks best with a fabric with good drape. Something like rayon spandex, dbp or bamboo spandex. This helps prevent it from “tenting” because of it’s swing style shape.
This version is the dress length with pockets in Monroe DBP from Amelia Lane Designs.
This version is maxi length in single brushed poly from Amelia Lane Designs.
I wanted to show the comparison of the plus-size block versus the standard block for those that overlap sizes. This is also a maxi version in DBP but this time in an 18w versus a 20. See my comparison post here.

Now that I know how soft bamboo spandex is and how flattering the drape is, I’m going to need all the colors in this dress!
It’s the Sunflower tank from Mamma Can Do It.
I used solid bamboo spandex from The Fab Clique. It drapes even more than double brushed polyester and is just as buttery soft, but it’s also breathable!
In addition to how quickly the sunflower tank goes together, it’s also a really efficient make because it’s great under cardigans for fall and winter and then stands alone come spring and summer!
I made the dress (knee but did not adjust for my height so it’s above the knee) length. This pattern has options for a top all the way to a maxi dress.
