Autumn Spice
I love the remnant bin and I’m a sucker for a scrap pack. Sincerely Rylee has the best scrap packs!
I don’t know what it is about this lonely last yard of fabric on a bolt that makes me want to adopt it.
But I end up overrun by scraps and challenge myself to use them up!
This project was perfect! I feel like I accomplished so much! and because scraps are so cheap, I basically have the cutest new tops for free!
The Autumn Spice has an inset sleeve but color blocking that makes it look like a fitted dolman. Perfect for me because I am always nervous a dolman sleeve doesn’t flatter.
The way the waist and bust fit so perfectly is so flattering for this relaxed top.
The Autumn Spice includes an option for above and below the bust color blocking. I chose below the bust for both of mine. There’s also additional color blocking in the torso that I did not use.
I wanted to show off this special edition Nala print on double brushed poly from Sincerely Rylee that I scored in a scrap pack! I paired with a scrap of green rayon spandex from that same scrap pack!
Autumn Spice’s cuffed sleeves make me feel extra cozy for winter. I love this look with leggings and boots and got lots of compliments!
For my second one I used a sweater knit remnant from JoAnns and a green ribbed light weight sweater knit from another Sincerely Rylee scrap pack. They usually sell out in minutes but I’ve managed to score a few!
I’ve been making a lot of Ellie and Mac patterns lately. The 2XL fits me so well, I only adjust a tiny bit for height. The overlapping pages give me confidence that I assembled them correctly and leaves me room to do that tiny height adjustment! They’re almost always having a sale. Patterns release at a discount, on top of the sale price! So they’re usually $3.85 on the day I blog them. On Wednesdays, the patterns rotate through being on sale for $1 (Wacky Wednesday).
Here are some of my other blog posts about Ellie and Mac Patterns.
