Slow Sunday

Ellie and Mac Slow Sunday Dress

Ellie and Mac has recently a bunch of new patterns while I’ve been on a pattern testing hiatus. I’ve been making the same patterns over and over rather than trying new patterns, but I am getting a little envious and decided to try something new!

This is the Slow Sunday pattern. It reminds me a lot of the Sweetie Pie with extra options like a shelf bra.

No adjustments to the pattern except for adding 1″ above the bodice for my height.

I like how the bodice is fitted but then the skirt flares out for a bit of twirl. Since my fabric has good drape it looks almost like a swing shape without losing definition. I cut the sleeves at the sleeve adjustment line, which is between short and 3/4. This is the higher scoop neck option.

I used navy pindot DBP from Amelia Lane Designs. It’s soft and squishy and comfortable to wear but the navy pindots dress it up for work.

Edit to add my latest Slow Sunday Dresses
