Sally Skirt

Sally Skirt by 5 Out Of 4 Patterns

So for beginners, there’s now the basics line of simple patterns that help you learn to sew and to fit garments to your body. The Mandy, Michelle, Shiela and Sara released earlier this summer and I tested each. They all have the full bust adjustment built in too.

Transitioning from tops/dresses to bottoms, this is the first skirt in the beginner line! It’s a simple A line skirt in several lengths. Can be knit or woven with a knit waistband.

But if beginner friendly sounds boring, 5oo4 wouldn’t quit their love for options cold turkey! There’s a knotted waistband accent option! I decided to do the knot of course!

I used Victoria Liverpool from Amelia Lane Designs with a cotton lycra waistband from Elevated Fashion Fabrics.
