Sunset Lounge
Freebie alert!
Until the end of 2018, Sinclair Patterns is offering these Sunset Lounge pants free with the code: SINCLAIRPATTERNS
Even better: The pants come with a built in ruched maternity waistband option!
Since I wear mine as comfy pajama pants I left out the pockets and draw string and used the simple yoga waistband. The whole sew was less than 20 minutes! (and that included time waiting for my husband to start the generator because my power went out in the middle!)
I used these cute kitty cat doodles (cotton interlock from JoAnns) for the body of the pants. I used Elevated Fashion Fabrics solid black cotton lycra that I keep on hand for waistbands/neckbands because it has great recovery.
Lounge Pant Comparison
I’m working on trying out all the comfy pants patterns so I can provide a comparison.
Here’s what I think sets this pattern apart:
- Waist hits just slightly above natural waist so that you could fold the band to hit at exactly natural waist. I think this balances flattering your body with keeping them on your body
- Waistband is narrow enough to be worn without folding
- The legs aren’t too baggy, but they’re by no means fitted.
Here are some other lounge pants I’ve made:
