Ellie and Mac Workout Pattern Bundle
For my back to school capsule I used three Ellie and Mac Patterns to make two outfits. Most of the patterns came from the Ellie and Mac Workout Pattern Bundle and I added the Around the Block Hoodie.
I’m not really going back to school – I think I’m too old to learn new tricks – but I do see back to school as a change in seasons. Not quite a change in weather as kids seem to go back prior to the Fall weather starting these days, but it is a time when schedules change. Which makes it a perfect time to reinforce new habits.
This “new year” I would like to get a bit more fresh air. Maybe go for family walks in the evenings or weekend hikes before the snow starts.
I’ve been hoarding these athletic fabrics from Amelia Lane Designs since the beginning of last spring. They have tons of new prints and bases coming in now too, but these originals were ideal for what I wanted out of this mini-capsule.
I used Lilac Athletic Brushed Poly and Echo Printed Supplex for the around the block hoodie. The Athletic brushed poly is a bit on the heavy side which will help this capsule transition into fall weather too.
I used lipstick Athetlic Brushed Poly for the Urban Legs in capri length.
I had a scrap of the Lelani lightweight dance fabric leftover from my Annelaine Mountainside tank and it was enough for the Ellie and Mac Good Sport Tank. I used the deep cut lines for the wide open back. The lelani matches the lipstick color capris perfectly in the pink flowers, but I wanted to bring out the orange flowers too so I used Orange Pop Tactel for the neckband.
The Amelia Lane Designs facebook page is playing a game of bingo right now too. Each item sewn counts for one square. Three items sewn means I just earned three squares toward my bingo or blackout. I’m counting the hoodie as “No hems” because I used the cuffs and waistband option with the hood. The good sport tank is “be bold” because of the open back. The capris I decided are “3 fabrics 1 outfit” when added to the hoodie.
