French Market Shorts
French Market Shorts by Seamingly Smitten
My husband asked for new shorts this summer and he got really excited about this fabric. It’s his favorite color and it’s not the usual kind of scuba. It’s more like ponte that’s slick on both sides like the inside of liverpool. It’s cool to the touch and doesn’t cling, so it’s perfect for him. I made him these 5oo4 Swim Trunks… he’s really into the pockets… without them I might be able to get them out of one yard, but he can’t live without! So that means I need two yards to make him his shorts… and that leaves a scrap… that scrap turned out to be enough to make myself these French Market Shorts by Seamingly Smitten for myself.
Dressing us to match is ridiculously fun! He’s such a good sport about it. We grocery shop on the weekends like we’re going to the Sadie Hawkins dance.
I always thought dressing the whole family to match was just to be cute, but it’s actually frugal too! You can get way more items from a continuous cut of fabric than different fabrics!
I really liked how easy these shorts were too! Didn’t take much fabric and the scuba is structured enough to keep them from clinging which makes me feel way better about how they look!
He got his 15 minutes of fame on his own blog post today too! Clearly, he’s into the pockets!
