Knot Your Average Modal

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s SUPER MODAL! This fabric is new to me. Have you had the pleasure?

It’s tough to describe. It’s technically a rayon spandex (modal) and it has the kind of silky but not brushed texture. It has the thickness of a good quality double brushed poly, but it has the recovery and breathes like cotton lycra.

I decided to push the limits and see what this fabric could do! I made a very fitted dress with modal! Unheard of! and yet, I’m wearing it in public without a belly shaper!

The dress feels amazing on. It feels so smooth and secure without being too hot or too tight. This is a comfortable all day and night kind of fabric!

I cannot believe it’s been a year since I made my last Knot dress! (See my previous blog)

I love the Knot Dress‘s disguised nursing access. You’d never expect it!

I used clear elastic for extra durability and yet it does not show through the front of the fabric! This fabric changes my opinion of what patterns modal can be used for. From now on, the sky’s the limit when it’s super modal!
