Mirra

Mirra! Look! A hoodie! I’m finally on the hoodie train. I’ve made them for my husband but this is my first hoodie. Despite my 2018 New Year’s Resolution to make myself more weekend-wear, I’ve continued to make more office-wear. Finally, something comfortable just for me. And I wore it to the office, so there. This is the Mirra Raglan from Halla Patterns.

My boss actually recognized that it’s a nursing hoodie and said “wow, that’s probably the best concept I’ve seen”. I would have to agree, it’s pretty great. The fact that she could tell means she’s probably spent as much time as the rest of us looking for discreetly accessible clothes!

Nursing access aside, I just love the fit of this hoodie. It’s so waist flattering while still feeling like a comfy hoodie that’s just giving you a hug to get through the day.

It’s all about the fabric

The comfort comes not only from the flattering pattern, but also how it’s the perfect fit for this cozy french terry. It’s a baby loop french terry, so the loops on the back are tiny and smooth. The floral is a close-out deal from Elevated Fashion Fabrics. The pink is a solid pink baby french terry that I happened to have on hand from knitpop. They’re my go to for DBP solids and French Terry solids to have at the ready to coordinate when pretty florals come up at a discount sale like I snagged this from.

I am a little bummed things have been so chaotic lately because I really needed a couple more of these Mirra hoodies. Plus some regular raglans (without the hood). And I want to try out the cowl neck option! Expect updates in 2019 because I want to live in this pattern!
