Sweetie Pie

Ellie and Mac Sweetie Pie Tunic and Dress

This is a super simple, just front, back and sleeves kind of pattern top/tunic/dress like the Ellie and Mac tee dress.

When I decided to make one I was pretty nonchalant about it. But that escalated quickly! My first turned out so beautiful that by the end of the weekend (a snowy, home sewing kind of weekend) I had five!

I made my normal adjustments of adding a little bit of length for height above the waist, but other than that, as with most Ellie and Mac patterns, the 2XL fits me great!

This is the dress length in a Hacci knit from So Sew English. It took just under 3 yards.

This is a liverpool from The Fab Clique. I had a three yard cut but also made a pencil skirt with the leftovers!

This is a glittery sweater knit that I bought locally at High Fashion Fabrics in Sacramento. I had about 2 and a half yards.

This is a premium french terry from The Fab Clique and I got the tunic length out of 2 yards.

This is probably the one I wear the most. It’s a super soft hacci knit with hearts from The Fab Clique in tunic length. I had a 2 yard cut.

Edit to add my two newest Sweetie Pie Dresses, part of the Ellie and Mac Summer Dress Tour and both with Liverpool from Amelia Lane Designs.

^ This fabric is called Aspen

and this fabric is called Somerset:

This one is Derby liverpool and the stripe matching was satisfying!
