5oo4 Sydney Dress/Peplum

5 Out Of 4 is one of my favorite designers. So many of the patterns have nursing options built in and full bust adjustment pattern pieces so you don’t have to do your own alteration.

This holiday season, 5oo4 released the Sydney dress. It has a twirly skirt, fitted bodice with lift up nursing access and optional pockets. Again, full bust adjustment done as a separate pattern piece for you. There are several neck options and a lined bodice.

I used cotton lycra from Girl Charlee that I have had stashed for awhile. I love the Pacific Northwest look it gave this dress!

Edit to add – my latest Sydney!

I had 2 yards of this beautiful summery Holly DBP from Amelia Lane Designs and I knew I wanted a maxi dress! I grabbed the Sydney Bodice because of the excellent fit and FBA. I lined with solid white DBP. Instead of the circle skirt, I just cut a length of fabric, using the whole width of fabric and added it as a gathered skirt. Such a conservative use of fabric and exactly the summer look I wanted!

Edited to Add: I grabbed a simple maxi gathered skirt pattern piece (or measured the length I needed) and used whole width of fabric attached to the Sydney bodice to be able to get this floral maxi dress out of two yards of DBP from Amelia Lane Designs.
