Nora Bolero

Nora Bolero by 5oo4 Patterns

I’m totally a cropped cardigan kind of person. I want the breezy feeling of a tank, but just a little something for when I get self conscious. This bolero is perfect! And the best part? It’s reversible! So I get two boleros for one project’s worth of effort!

I’m wearing it over my Virginia dress that I previously hacked for lift up nursing (blog post)

The black side of the bolero is made from the scrap of super modal I had leftover after making this knot dress out of a 3 yard cut. (blog)

The other side of my bolero is ITY Blue Polka dot fabric from Amelia Lane Designs. Can you tell I like dots?

But I am not sure about wearing dots on dots, so I paired the blue side with my Mamma Can Do it Sunflower Tank (blog post from that dress here). The sunflower tank is made from Bamboo Spandex from The Fab Clique.

The ITY blue dot side of the bolero is made from the scrap leftover after making this camilla dress from a 3 yard cut.

This Nora Bolero is such a great scrap buster! Both fabrics had under a yard left over and I was able to get the whole bolero out of the scraps!

I made another unlined bolero from some sweater knit fabric in an Amelia Lane Designs sweater knit mystery box. I had a fat half of this rib knit fabric and I managed to make this 3/4 sleeve bolero and bands.
